Last night it was her time, the Queen of the Night was flourishing. Just one night she gave us the pleasure to enjoy of her beauty. It grows on a small stone wall on a garden terrace. Probably it is a Hylocereus, it forms aerial roots, I mean to recognize them. The flowers of this cactus species open just once a year, for a hot summer night like the past here in Charco del Palo.

The flower has a diameter of about 30 cm. One of them was opened yesterday, but last night there were eight or nine at a time, spread over two wild cactus bushes.
