The renovation of the Casa del Sol building in the Las Piteras complex is almost complete. Most clearly visible sign: The building now shines like new in the wonderful fresh Lanzarote colors: Blue and white.

Traditionally, all the houses of a village by the sea have blue windows while buildings of a village in the interior of the island have green windows. The only exception that applies everywhere are wooden windows (nowadays unfortunately often interpreted like wood color = brown and manufactured in aluminum...)

However that may be, Casa del Sol still has real massive wooden windows and doors, all of which are detailed with rounded arches - it's just a building to fall in love with. When I came to Lanzarote for the first time in 1992, I stayed right here. Apartment D2, I can remember this exactly and really can recommend it!
