Also in Lanzarote you can admire the beautiful spanish custom of nativity scenes. In nearly every bigger village they build up one during Christmas time, these photos here I took in Yaiza.

As you can see the representation isn't limited just to the birth scene, on contrary, you have to look well to find it because they build it just as a small scene forming part of everyday life, often embedded in local circumstances and houses which are reconstructed in detail, if you look closely you see many buildings of Yaiza and the surrounding area on the photos, including the restaurant of the Fire Mountains in the Timanfaya National Park. The entire nativity scene shown here measures approximately 7 x 15 meters.
