When you follow my blog, you will notice that I am a big lover of sailing. This photo was taken in 2008 during a sailing trip off Lanzarote. We took this photo from our chartered Bavaria 50. It shows the later winner of the Volvo Ocean Race 2008/2009 close to Arrecife during training. The Grand Hotel at the seafront in Arrecife can be seen in the background. The Swedish sailing team had spent the entire winter in the Canary Islands to train for the round-the-world race 2008/2009, with base camp in Puerto Calero on Lanzarote.
